Long Exposure

Ok, I have to get things back on track.  Had some difficulty right before Thanksgiving and I hope things have straightened out a bit.

Anyway, Google is evil. :-)  Creating the communities.  I learned of two new communities which caused me to consider even more projects for photography then I already had.  They are Long Exposure and Time Lapse photograph.  Here is a simple long exposure that I took over the weekend.  It is of the Golden Gate and I ended up learning  a lot.

First, patience.  Even reading tutorials and other advice, there was still trial and error to get things right.
Second, cleaning.  I can be kind of hard on equipment and sometimes not as careful as I should be when changing lenses and stuff.  Thus dust can get to places where it should not.  I've tried to be more careful but this really started to bring out the worse in my habits.
Third, post-processing.  I think I should start to really learn this.  If nothing else to help when I mess up in item two.

So here is the picture, from Fort Baker.

15 sec, ISO 100, f/22, 28mm, Nikkor AF-S 28-300 f/3.5, D7000, Tiffen ND 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2, B+W Circ polarizer
